Science says we have 12,000 to 6,000 thoughts in our mind daily. I must be above the average mind because I have millions of thoughts that flood my mind. Quieting my mind and racing thoughts is sometimes the hard thing to do. Your mind can be your best friend or your great enemy.
That is why I invited my good friend and Dr. Jessica Borushok to share with us how our mind works and real life strageries we can use today. Dr. Jessica Borushok is a registered clinical and health psychologist that specializes in a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (or ACT, said as one word).
ACT teaches new skills for connecting with the present moment, provides new perspectives on the thoughts, feelings, memories, and physical sensations that can at times be overwhelming, and helps provide a new way forward based on who you are and what you want out of life.
The thing I love about her is she uses real science and does not share some hacks. She gives real concrete help to quieting our busy minds and getting it back on your side.
