[00:00:00] Hey, what's going on, y'? All? Welcome back. I'm so excited you're here.
[00:00:05] I was really thinking today about how excited I was that I was looking in the mirror and I have this gray beard right here, like one string of gray beard. And at work, I was talking with a guy and we're going back and forth talking about how men nowadays don't want to grow old. And everyone has this idea that getting older, there's some type of wickedness involved with it, right? As if, like, men are going overseas to Turkey if they get a little balding as I'm balding right here, and they get scared of getting old, right? They fear it and that they all want to be young. They all want to, you know, play the young man's game.
[00:00:41] And I'm here to share with you. Sit down.
[00:00:45] Okay. Get older, get wiser. Right there. You didn't. You can't be young forever, all right? I think from celebrities all the way down to even the normal people, us, normal everyday, nine to five people like us, is that we need to embrace getting older. We need to embrace that we have this level of wisdom that the. That the young generation is going to come and access things about. And yes, we may be arrogant because, shoot, I was arrogant. I thought I knew it all. But there's going to come a time and point where we're going to be open and receptive to the knowledge and the wisdom of the older generation, and that's going to be us soon.
[00:01:23] And if we are out here trying to chase and be just like them or prove to them that we're still young, why should they come to us if we're trying to imitate and be them, why should. Why should we lead if we're. Or if we're trying to show them that we can be young and fun and funky like them, why let them go have that right? It's time that especially I'm going to charge you as a man.
[00:01:50] Go out there, start your family. Go. Go do something more productive with your life, right, than going to the club every night.
[00:01:59] There's more things to life, right? Write a book, leave some wisdom behind. Grow up, right? Go to therapy, heal yourself. So that way, at least if you. If you ever try to replicate or duplicate yourself, that means have kids that you're not putting a bad offspring out into this world. And us as a community will suffer because the offspring you bring to this world.
[00:02:25] And I say that with having four kids myself, right? I was a little. I wouldn't even say I Was wild. I, I was very prepared in a sense. I always, I always tried to prepare myself to have kids and have a wife.
[00:02:38] And now that I have that, I'll say a perfect example. When my son was born, I lost my job, right? Most people would go into panic mode, throw their hands up, throw their, the fire has to burn. Da da da da, right?
[00:02:52] But instead, because I knew being wise, this is, this is where wisdom taught me was that hey, I'm. That when the minute they, they sound the alarm at my job, that hey, my job might end. The minute the thing I did, I said, you know what? I need to see where I can cut my expenses and I can save money. And if I save a certain amount, which is, if I was able to save 15,000 or more, which I hit that 25k goal, then I would be good. I knew that. Hello, high water.
[00:03:24] And also, as you guys know, I'm 100% service disabled. Get almost 5,000amonth as well. So if that comes in too, and I, and I'm saving this 25k, I'm pretty sure that there's no way I'm going to blow $30,000 in a single month if I, if I'm, if I'm still following the track of being wise with my money, right? Good stewardship.
[00:03:47] So I say all that to say is that I prepared for the storm that's coming. And the Bible is a great, great, great example of how there's two men. One built his house on sinking sand, the other man built his house on solid ground. When the storm came, the man that built his house on sinking sand, his house was gone. Man that built his house on solid ground, it was still there. Luckily, my wife and I built our foundational savings on, on solid foundation, right? Solid principles. There was a, even one month where we over saved. We, we sent almost 5,000 into our savings, right?
[00:04:25] And that was more of just an ego thing. But I'm just, I'm, I'm just saying as the average American spends $1,500, we were saving almost double, triple what the average American can save. So what I want to tell you is that I want you to grow up, make wiser choices, stop trying to be young and embrace yourself getting old, right? I'm not saying go there and sit down and say, oh my God, my back is hurt, I'm going to die. Keep on keeping yourself young in terms of working out, drinking water and whatnot, but stop trying to be the young generation and start leading the young generation.
[00:05:02] That being said, I hope you have a great day.
[00:05:05] Love you.
[00:05:06] Till next time.
