[00:00:00] Speaker A: All right, this is Bertrand, your coach, and I want to talk to you today about why meditation is actually the new currency. It's actually the executive skill nobody's talking about. And we need to put more emphasis on this, right? Meditation at the core is just being. [00:00:15] Speaker B: Mindful of your thoughts and bringing your body and yourself back together. That's all it is. A lot of us are running on dopamine high, right? Whether that's drugs, whether that's caffeine, whether that's workouts, whether that's sex, alcohol, whatever it is, right? We are running on dopamines, right? Bodies are dictating how we feel, how we act, right? A lot of people tell you, oh, if I don't have my. If I don't have my coffee, I'm not a great person to be around right now. [00:00:40] Speaker A: What would happen if instead of your. [00:00:43] Speaker B: Body running the show, you ran the show? [00:00:45] Speaker A: That's all meditation is. When I started meditating, the number one. [00:00:49] Speaker B: Thing is my body would want to jump and move and go. I was like, oh, my God. My therapist told me, hey, you know what? Just meditate. Just meditate. I even, I even hired a coach. I think it was like three or four thousand dollars. And we were talking about meditation. I was like, man, really? [00:01:01] Speaker A: I hired you just tell me to meditate. My therapist told me that, right? [00:01:04] Speaker B: But then I started to take it serious, seriously. And I started to see that my dopamine was running the show. And a lot of you will see that, hey, dopamine is running the show, right? Your body is forcing you to do all these things that you don't really want to do. You're doing it because you want a dopamine high, right? [00:01:18] Speaker A: You're scrolling on your phone. Why? Dopamine hit. [00:01:20] Speaker B: That's what you need, right? [00:01:22] Speaker A: And if you're able to control it by meditating just five minutes a day, you'll see a huge impact. I swear, in less than seven days. [00:01:31] Speaker B: You'Ll start to feel, wow, a lot more clearer in thoughts. There's a research done by Harvard University that they said that when you meditate and you're more mindful, it increases the gray matter density in areas linked to decision making and self control. How many of you would want more decision making? Self control, right? [00:01:49] Speaker A: That's amazing. As an executive or a leader, if you're able to have more self control, make better decisions, would your company make more money this year, yes or no? I guarantee it, right? So it's super simple. All you need to do is start meditating. [00:02:03] Speaker B: For five minutes a day. [00:02:05] Speaker A: Meditation. [00:02:06] Speaker B: You don't need to go buy anything at all. All you need to do, get somewhere quiet. [00:02:09] Speaker A: Close your eyes. [00:02:10] Speaker B: Just focus on your breath. [00:02:12] Speaker A: Set a timer on your phone for five minutes. It will be the longest time of your life. I promise you, it'll be the longest. [00:02:17] Speaker B: Time of your life. But if you do it, you're going to love the way you feel. You're going to love the decisions that you're making. You're going to love the person you're going to become, and you're going to get back into your body and start to feel the real you again. All right? [00:02:28] Speaker A: Go out there. [00:02:29] Speaker B: Five minutes a day. Do it. Trust me, you're going to love it.
